Summer Greetings From The BLCC Board Of Directors

Hello everyone; the start of the 2019 lake season is here, and what a beautiful Memorial Day weekend it was!

Your Board members and volunteers have been busy getting things ready for you and your family to take full advantage of the lake and our great community! The three beaches (East, West, and South) all were spruced up during our annual clean up day and have been groomed. There are kayak racks on all three beaches for folks to store kayaks on a first come first served basis, along with picnic tables and porta-potties at East and West Beaches. When using any of these facilities, remember this is your community and we ask your help in respecting them as if they were your own (which they are), pulling weeds or vegetation growing on the beaches and picking up after yourself.  Please notify our Security or Beach and Boats Committee if you see something amiss or in need of attention (Claudia Messier - 413-427-8434 -

BLCC has again received a permit from the Town of Ware for our beaches and swimming areas and volunteers perform monthly water quality checks which are sent to a lab and the town.

The lake is a resource for Club members whose dues and assessment pay 100% of the operating costs, including beach maintenance, vegetation control for the lake, and property taxes on the lake. No funding is received from any federal, state or local agency. We are a private lake and access, including fishing and boating,  is available only to folks who live in the deeded area and are BLCC members in good standing. Members can receive one day passes to share with guests (family or friends); reach out to Judie Aversa (413-967-4207 - you need one.

You should have received your 2019 watercraft, motor, and car stickers by now. Please display these ASAP as the 2018 stickers expire May 31st.

The BLCC Board wishes you and your families a safe and wonderful summer season! If you are not a BLCC member but want to join, please contact me or Judie Aversa.
